About this event Since its inception in 2015, the resident DJ and founder, Rissa Garcia, has specifically curated Dancing Room Only to deliver nights that maximize dancefloor damage in the spirit of the NY dance-underground heyday.

When not travelling the world accepting club invitations, this devoted crate digger (don’t ask him about Serato) spends time in his Parisian studio messing with beats and loops. Never not working, Franck Roger is about to take things to another level as beat maker, a talent scout (through his Real Tone Records label), and the DJ you want to dance to. More beats, more gigs, more love.

Dancing Room Only welcomes Tony Humphries to House of X alongside resident Rissa Garcia

Since its inception in 2015, the resident DJ and founder, Rissa Garcia, has specifically curated Dancing Room Only to deliver nights that maximize dancefloor damage in the spirit of the NY dance-underground heyday. On Saturday May 14th, we are pleased to welcome Tony Humphries to House of X.

Tony Humphries has been DJing nearly 35 years, an incredible achievement that in any other industry would have been rewarded with a carriage clock or service medal. His big break came through a chance meeting with Mastermixer Shep Pettibone at the offices of Prelude Records. Tony handed the maestro a tape and the rest is history. Humphries’ star rose as his KISS FM show (and later HOT 97) lasted for decades.

Saturday 1.8.22 Dancing Room Only with Danny Krivit & Rissa Garcia

A legend of the dance and disco scene since the heyday of New York club culture, Danny Krivit is no doubt one of dance music’s living legends. Growing up in Greenwich Village, New York City, in the 60s, Danny was surrounded by music. His father was the manager of legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker before he went on to open up “The Ninth Circle”, a Village hot spot that allowed Danny the opportunity to DJ at an early age. Learning the ropes and taking notes from early legends like David Mancuso and Larry Levan, Danny soon made a name for himself throughout the dance floors of New York City. He is one-third of the legendary Body & Soul NYC crew alongside Francois K and Joe Claussell and he just recently celebrated the 19th anniversary of 718 Sessions, his monthly residency party in New York. We are elated to host this dance music icon.
