“Given Eris Drew and Octo Octa's Midwest rave background and the fact that they live together in rural New Hampshire, there was something very personal and special about their curated stage, Forestrave. A small cabin dwarfed by a giant sound system (with no less than 40 subs), it featured a lineup of close friends and contemporaries and offered a window into the T4T LUV NRG world. Drew and Octo Octa both played back-to-backs across the weekend–the former with stateside rave veteran Mystic Bill and the latter with edit queen Bored Lord–and Forestrave provided a constant source of joy for fluorescent, anorak-clad ravers and high fashion voguers alike. The best set on this stage was arguably New York's Rissa Garcia. The Dancing Room Only resident provided a lesson in the body-rocking house associated with her hometown, opting for plenty of classic cuts alongside fresh heat like Antony Hot's "Colours."- Resident Advisor

New York's latest addition to its diverse #nightlife scene, at Silo, welcomes one of Chicago's original House pioneers, Gene Farris , to the Big Apple on Friday, February 17. Farris will grace the SILO decks alongside fan-favorite Golf Clap for an intimate and immersive experience where audience and artist become one in rhythm.
For the better part of three decades, Chicago's Gene Farris has been pushing the boundaries of house and techno. Living breathing the genre. This Chicago legend has played everything from underground warehouse parties to the height of festival stages and everything ins between. As in demand as a producer and remixer as he is a DJ, Farris's work has appeared everywhere, from Defected Records to Toolroom, Dirtybird, and, of course, his own Farris Wheel imprint. Tracks like We Work It, Nurses, Space Girl, Play, and Move Your Body have each become classics, often acting as some of their year's biggest hits.
Joining Gene Farris on this unforgettable night will be Golf Clap . Born in the Motor City and since relocated to sunny LA, Golf Clap has been at the forefront of house music's funkiest dimensions for over a decade. Through its beloved and passionate DJ sets, Country Club Disco imprint, and releases on the likes of Madtech and Nervous, the now solo Golf Clap feeds audiences with palpable energy, whether through the speakers, on the dancefloor, or the festival stage. Gracing the decks to set up the vibe for the night is NYC’s own Rissa Garcia.
A legend in the studio and DJ booth, Francois K needs no introduction.
Catch the master of sound along with JADALAREIGN and Rissa Garcia at Marble Bar on February 11.

We all know that sinking feeling, when your recorder dies halfway through an all night set. But lucky for us, Rissa Garcia managed to save the first three and a half hours when she played from start to finish in the Bad Room on August 5, 2022. Turn your speakers up and prepare for a dance through the history NY house with the Dancing Room Only founder.

After two years at Prik during ADE, WOMEN OF HOUSE return's and presents SHAKERS:
A past collaboration with Prik with a three month run, SHAKERS is a female djs line-up event. The light has been shined universally on inequality in all work industries between women and men. This problem that exists around the world sadly also exists in our own dance music industry. We need to counter this with more women asked to participate in events and more women djs to headline them. We presented SHAKERS, an event that focuses on removing the sexism and misogyny in Dance Music Culture by inviting artists to perform on a unique event dedicated to female Djs.
Let’s shake it on the sounds from
Rissa Garcia (US) / Filadelfia (MX) / Natarcia (NL) / Nina Sanetti (NL) / Raphaella Brown (NL) / Nicky Drummond (GB)

“You realise an artist is of great import when you can break down their contribution to a scene into single words. Prescription. The Music Institute. KMS. Chicago's Chez Damier has plenty of associations which are spoken of in reverent terms within house music circles. Damier's first major involvement in the scene dates back to the late '80s and the opening of The Music Institute, the club he founded in Detroit alongside Alton Miller and George Baker that was instrumental in techno's development in the city. Around this time he was also a label manager and recording artist for Kevin Saunderson's KMS, releasing all-time greats like Can You Feel It and Untitled. Upon moving back to the Windy City around 1993, Damier hooked up with Ron Trent to create Prescription: The run of singles they released up until 1995 are among the most influential pieces of house music even committed to wax, taking in many of their own titles in collaboration—"Morning Factory," "Sometimes I Feel Like," "Be My." - Resident Advisor

About this event Since its inception in 2015, the resident DJ and founder, Rissa Garcia, has specifically curated Dancing Room Only to deliver nights that maximize dancefloor damage in the spirit of the NY dance-underground heyday.
When not travelling the world accepting club invitations, this devoted crate digger (don’t ask him about Serato) spends time in his Parisian studio messing with beats and loops. Never not working, Franck Roger is about to take things to another level as beat maker, a talent scout (through his Real Tone Records label), and the DJ you want to dance to. More beats, more gigs, more love.

It is time for new challenges, but all the wild dreams we have do not properly fit in just one day. Therefore, we are scaling up! Draaimolen Festival 2022 will cover two days, taking place on Friday September 9th and Saturday September 10th in the woods of our beloved MOB Complex. Ever since the beginning of Draaimolen Festival, we’ve focussed on an aesthetic cohesion of electronic music, art installations and stage designs, while letting the nature that surrounds it guide the overall experience. We keep doing this in 2022 but with a program twice as long and twice as beautiful. These two days will be filled with the familiar Draaimolen features, such as the unexpected b2b’s, brand new stage hostings next to the return of some old friends, special live performances and our annual secret b2b, whilst more adventures and site specific collaborations are in the making… Hopefully we’ll see you at the very first Draaimolen weekend <3 Tickets The first weekend tickets are available on Wednesday December 15th at 20:00h CET. Single day tickets follow later.
Early weekend ticket: €90,- SOLD OUT
Regular weekend ticket: €100,-

Since its inception in 2015, the resident DJ and founder, Rissa Garcia, has specifically curated Dancing Room Only to deliver nights that maximize dancefloor damage in the spirit of the NY dance-underground heyday. On Saturday May 14th, we are pleased to welcome Tony Humphries to House of X.
Rivera, born January 18th 1971 and started his career at age 13 as a DJ in his native Spanish Harlem. He began producing house music in 1992, specializing in a more soulful sound. He has worked under a variety of pseudonyms, including Kings of Tomorrow, Soul Vision and Mysterious People, either alone or with partners Jose Burgos, HAZE and Jay 'Sinister' Sealee (Rivera parted ways with Sealee in 2002). He is the owner of labels BlackWiz (founded 1993) and Deep Vision Records (founded 1995).
Rivera's best known track is "Finally", released in 2000 as Kings of Tomorrow on Distance Records, with vocals by Julie McKnight, which peaked at number 24 in the UK Singles Chart[2] and at number 17 on the Billboard dance chart, and appeared in a large number of compilations from labels such as Defected Records, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, and Warner Music. The track is included in K.O.T.'s first album It's in the Lifestyle. The same album also yielded the track "Young Hearts". The vocal version of "Finally" was also used as a part of a remixed single by the British act Layo & Bushwacka for their 2003 single "Love Story (vs. Finally)". The second K.O.T. album was released in 2005, titled Trouble. Rivera claims this is his first album produced without recourse to samples, and marks the official separation between this and other aliases: Kings of Tomorrow is used for more radio-friendly tracks, while his real name will be used for club-friendly tracks.
As a producer and remixer, Sandy Rivera has worked for a variety of other artists, including veteran jazz musician Terry Callier, Gisele Jackson, Bini & Martini, Michelle Weeks, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Walter L. Robinson.
